Declining revenues & Increasing Expenses

Driving Immediate and Dramatic Results Quickly

The City of Troy owns two different diverse 18 hole municipal golf courses, Sanctuary Lake and Sylvan Glen.  The golf courses are staples in the local golfer’s rotation.

The City had been operating both golf courses since inception, but due to declining revenues and increasing expenses the City issued an RFP to explore potential alternatives and determine how good of a job the City was doing themselves.

After much debate, the City decided to move forward with BCG operating both facilities.  The results were immediate and dramatic.

Revenue Growth

BCG grew rounds and revenues through direct database marketing and golfer retention programs targeting the local golfer while right sizing the expense model – resulting in almost $400,000 improvement in Year 2.
