Whittle Springs named best public course in Knoxville

Great Golf Course Shot

There's no greater honor for a business than to be told by its customers that it's doing a great job. And that's why the team at Whittle Springs Golf Course in Knoxville feels very honored to have recently been awarded the Readers' Choice award for Best Public Golf Course by the Knoxville News-Sentinel.

"Myself and the entire staff are extremely excited about this accolade and are looking forward to great things in 2015," said Whittle Springs general manager Rusty Howell.

Whittle Springs underwent a course renovation in 2014, including a total rework of the putting surfaces, growing Champion Bermuda grass. It was a big upgrade for Knoxville's first public course, which, after 75 years, is still a great test for golfers from all over town and throughout East Tennessee.
