Matt Livengood is the new general manager at Alabama's Country Club of Brewton, a native of the state excited to work at the Billy Casper Golf-managed facility and be a part of the surrounding community.
Livengood, who graduated from Mississippi State's golf management program in 2006, joins CC of B from Limestone Springs Golf Club, where he was general manager of another Jerry Pate-designed course. Before that, he spent several years at Peninsula Golf and Racket Club in Gulf Shores, where he was assistant professional then head pro.
The new GM sees a kind, excited golf community, which he hopes can be reflected in how the larger Brewton community sees the club.
“It is obvious it is already here and I want to continue that,” he said to the Brewton Standard. “I really want to get involved in the community and provide an opportunity for the club to get out to the community. We are an ambassador for the city of Brewton, and I hope we can support the city and the city support us,” he said.
