Construction & Completion at 1757

After sitting fallow due to economic challenges, the land owner of 1757 Golf Club (Dulles, VA) reclaimed the unfinished golf course and clubhouse. Billy Casper Golf ;realized the opportunity to revitalize the property and entered into a long-term lease. Ten holes opened quickly, driving immediate revenue. From there, BCG – notably its agronomy division, Buffalo Turf and Landscape Company – managed the $4 million project to complete the club, the centerpiece of this large multi-use development.

Buffalo TLC work included:

• Constructing and grassing eight holes
• Installing a 60-station grass practice tee
• Building two practice putting greens
• Designing and overseeing supplementary vertical structures

The Buffalo TLC team wore many hats during the initial year of operation – architect, general contractor and operator:
• In-house site work for buildings and drainage
• Implementation and maintenance of erosion controls
• Installation of utilities conduits
• Addition of 45 parking space
• Development full-scale horticulture program
• Creation of short-game practice facility
• Placement of well pumps for irrigation ponds
• Position safety netting throughout

1757 Golf Club operated 18 holes at capacity with a full tee sheet within a year. Based on critical acclaim from golfers and media, the course took its rightful position as one of the premier daily fee facilities in a Washington, DC area, featuring:
• Unique layout
• Impeccable conditions
• Five sets of tees
• Lighted driving range with natural and artificial teeing areas
• Expansive short-game area

1757 has been transformed into an appealing public course. It's like being at a country club for the day. Washingtonian
