Bradford Creek Golf Course, managed by Billy Casper Golf (BCG), has named Jonathon McLawhorn as Head Golf Pro.
The Methodist University alumnus will run all instructional programs at Bradford Creek including junior golf camps and clinics as well as group and individual instruction. McLawhorn was inducted as a member of the Professional Golfers Association in February 2018.
A Vanceboro, N.C., native, McLawhorn attended West Craven High School where he was a four-year member of the golf team. Raised just 30 miles from Greenville, he played Bradford Creek often growing up and even competed as a member of the course’s team in the Eastern North Carolina Junior Golf League.
“Jonathon’s enthusiasm and high golf IQ will serve him well,” says Chip Harris, BCG Regional Manager. “He will play a vital role in our endeavor to reinvigorate golf programming and attract new audiences to Bradford Creek.”
Ideally located in a peaceful, rural setting, Bradford Creek Golf Course is ideal for golfers of all skill levels. It features open, rolling terrain along 185 acres with many tree-lined fairways, ponds and slow-moving streams. These elements combine to create a visually stimulating experience. The par-72 track is configured to produce yardages ranging from 5,124 yards from the forward tees to 7,151 yards from the championship tees.
The course’s Bentgrass greens are among the best in the area. Each green has been designed so that a simple change in pin placement can alter shot strategy, thus ensuring a new experience for golfers every time they play. Additionally, Bradford Creek provides the only lighted public driving range in the region.
