BCG Named Finalist for Outstanding Corporate Citizenship Awards

Billy Casper Golf (BCG) was named a finalist for the 2017 Outstanding Corporate Citizenship Awards. Hosted by the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce, the annual event recognizes individuals, businesses and non-profits for above-and-beyond business leadership, employee engagement and corporate social responsibility.

The awards consist of five categories including: "Outstanding Corporate Citizen of the Year," "Executive Leader of the Year," "Emerging Influential of the Year," "Non-Profit of the Year," and "Outstanding Veteran & Military Advocate Award."

BCG was named a finalist for "Outstanding Veteran & Military Advocate of the Year." Through the World's Largest Golf Outing (WLGO) -- a national charitable golf event conceptualized by BCG Chairman and CEO Peter Hill -- BCG has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for injured service men, women and their families. Proceeds from this year's WLGO -- held on May 1 -- went to Fisher House Foundation and Arnie's Army

Through WLGO, BCG honors the philanthropic legacy of BCG namesake, Masters and two-time U.S. Open winner, Billy Casper, who served in the Navy and witnessed first-hand the effects of front-line combat. Casper often entertained U.S. troops serving in Asia by hitting golf balls over aircraft carriers.
