Cutting emissions while cutting the grass at Fernandina Beach

GGP Tiger Woods return cover

Mowers. You probably don't think about them too often when you're playing golf. You might see them in the mornings if you're a regular dewsweeper or getting ready to play in a tournament. But they're one of many machines that keep our golf courses looking as resplendent as they do. To cut as many acres as they do, mowers use a lot of fuel which can give off a lot of environment-hurting emissions. That's changing in a Billy Casper Golf Beta program at Fernandina Beach Golf Club near Jacksonville, Fla. Read all about the mower and its environmental benefits in this week's Global Golf Post.

In an otherwise quiet week in pro golf, the Post gang also delves in Jordan Spieth's big win in the Australian Open, ending a 21-year skid for the U.S. in the biggest event in Aussie golf. Find out how the 21-year-old Texan took the title from defending champion Rory McIlroy and top-rated Aussie Adam Scott.
