Grow-In & Opening
After the architects, engineers, shapers, and contractors have done their work, Billy Casper Golf and our on-site grow-in Superintendent take charge, working closely with the team to seed and grow-in each hole.
We place particular emphasis on managing fertility levels, water needs, disease pressures, environmental issues, and agronomic practices to produce the finest possible playing surfaces - on opening day and throughout the course’s lifetime.
Near the completion, Billy Casper Golf follows a proven process to bring life to the vision of creating an optimal Guest experience at your new golf course:
- Hiring and training the most talented team
- Building an optimal business plan
- Designing the perfect logo
- Outfitting the clubhouse precisely
With the right team in place, no detail is spared.
All of our work in preparation for opening day is driven by our intimate knowledge of Guest needs and the local competitive environment. We couple that with sound business planning and unparalleled experience.
There are no cookie-cutter approaches here, just well-proven task lists and smart inspiration on the road to creating the best Guest experience and best financial results for your new golf course.
Every opening is different, and we appreciate the nuances. We work closely with our clients to create a day, a week, a month – whichever makes sense. We incorporate everything we have learned:
- Client’s dreams
- Political needs
- Media opportunities
- Market timing
- Pent-up demand for play
- Golf course conditions
Best of all, we take that same excitement and do it again the next day, and the next, and the next – operating the most well-conditioned, staffed, and Guest-oriented golf course available.
